How advertising on our site works

  • Advertising on Purplemoon and Purplestar is very simple: a certain number of users get to see your ad on every single page for a week, always at the same position on the website. That way your ad has a high presence and every user gets to see it around 100-150 times.
  • You can chose a detailed target group (e.g. in terms of gender, sexuality, location) so you only reach the people who have a potential interest in your product.
  • Currently (January 2009) about 7500 users visit us every week, each user logs in 6x per week (on average), accesses 160 pages and is online for 7.4 hours. 57% of our users are male, 43% female - 39% are gay, 24% lesbian, 27% bisexual und 10% straight. The average age is at 26.2 years old. 89% of the users live in Switzerland, the rest (11%) mostly in Germany and Austria.
  • We have created an own website for all advertising services where you can register, plan your advertising campaign and observe the results. Registration is free of charge and creating an own advertising campaign is very easy - you can try out everything before making the final decision to start with the campaign.
